In this role, you will lead the design of end-to-end service experiences that connect customer needs with organizational goals. You will drive strategic design initiatives from discovery to delivery, collaborating with product, design, research, and operations partners to shape meaningful, scalable, and future-ready services. You will uncover insights through research, map complex service ecosystems, and co-create solutions that remove friction while elevating client experiences. This position offers the opportunity to influence decision-making at senior levels, create North Star visions, and prototype new service models. You will play a key role in shaping how the organization operates and supports its clients across channels and touchpoints.
Accountabilities
- Lead multiple high-impact service design initiatives from planning to research, synthesis, solutioning, and delivery.
- Collaborate closely with senior product, design, research, and operations leaders to define problems, prioritize opportunities, and guide decision-making.
- Conduct complex generative and evaluative research to reveal motivations, behaviors, and system-level pain points.
- Map and model end-to-end service ecosystems, identifying gaps, risks, and dependencies across roles, systems, and touchpoints.
- Design and facilitate workshops and co-creation sessions to align stakeholders around North Star visions, principles, and transformation roadmaps.
- Create future-state service models, prototypes, and operational workflows that connect strategy to execution and validate new experiences before scaling.
- Mentor team members and elevate design maturity by refining frameworks, methods, and organizational practices.
- Apply systems thinking to balance user needs, business objectives, and operational constraints, ensuring every solution delivers measurable value.
Requirements
At least 8 years of experience leading service design or experience strategy projects spanning people, processes, and technology.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive alignment, and translate ambiguity into structured plans and decisions.Deep expertise in human-centered design, journey mapping, service blueprints, and continuous service improvement methodologies.Strong cross-functional collaboration experience across business, product, technology, marketing, and operations teams.Ability to create and standardize frameworks, methods, and tools that elevate design practices across the organization.Proficiency in facilitation and prototyping tools such as Miro, FigJam, and Figma.Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to craft clear narratives that connect insights to actions and outcomes.Remote work capability; preference for candidates based in or willing to work with the Kansas City team.Benefits
