POSITION OVERVIEW
The Salesman / Estimator plays a critical role in winning work and supporting the successful planning of Global Wall Panel Group projects. This position is responsible for analyzing project documents, quantifying materials and labor, preparing accurate cost estimates, developing proposals and maintaining strong, positive customer relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Qualification & Preconstruction
Lead customer qualification efforts during business development and early preconstruction phases.Identify and capture a clear, accurate scope of work.Read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, addendums and front-end documents.Review architectural plans related to metal cladding and roofing scopes.Collaborate with operations leadership to clarify requirements.Quantification & Takeoffs
Perform detailed measurements and quantification using Bluebeam.Validate labor, material and equipment needs.Supplier & Product Coordination
Obtain material and lift equipment quotes from suppliers.Request installation guides, product data and warranty requirements.Maintain internal price lists.Research new cladding products.Estimate Creation
Prepare full financial breakdowns including labor, materials and equipment.Ensure estimates reflect accurate pricing.Validate assumptions and scope inclusions.Proposal Development
Confirm customer needs and expectations.Prepare and submit accurate, competitive proposals.Respond promptly to proposal clarifications.Sales Follow-Up & Documentation
Maintain communication with prospective customers until project outcome.Document interactions and updates in Salesforce.Support business development efforts with customer insights.COMPENSATION
