The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions. A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.
Job Responsibilities :
Work with content team to understand priorities and then drive content coverage project
Work across different content teams to align them on process
Work with content creation tools, review with stakeholders, and publish on Microsoft Learn
Qualifications :
8-10 years’ experience required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a customer-centric mindset.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts and procedures in simple and clear language, using appropriate examples, diagrams, and screenshots.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse and geographically distributed team.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Proficiency in using various tools and platforms for content creation and publication, such as GitHub, Markdown, Visual Studio Code, and Azure DevOps.
Familiarity with Azure and its core services, features, and capabilities.
Familiarity with the Azure style and voice guidelines.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $55 to $59 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
