Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Lorain, Ohio (44053) - Ohio healthcare jobs Unit : Med / Surg Telemetry (2W), 29 beds Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week : 36 Scheduling : Every other weekend and holiday Scrubs : Navy blue Patient Population : Orthopedic, Neurology, and Telemetry patients Support Staff : 1-2 ancillary healthcare staff per shift; phlebotomy available Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570 - $1680 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (Ohio nursing jobs) Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required Proficient with insulin drips (gtts) Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided) Ability to read and verify telemetry strips in EPIC EHR once per shift Travel nursing experience preferred but not required Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop individualized care plans Administer medications and manage Cardizem, Heparin, and Insulin drips Provide care for patients with wound vacs, PICC lines, central lines, and advanced airway modalities (BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow, Nasal cannulas) Serve as primary contact for patients and families; coordinate patient care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Advocate for patient safety and participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives Document assessments and care accurately in EPIC electronic health record Educate and support patients and families throughout the care process Maintain professionalism and adhere to infection control and hospital policies Experience the best of Ohio nursing jobs in Lorain's scenic lakefront community while making a meaningful impact in patient care.
