Senior Platform Engineer / Linux

Develop and communicate implementation of infrastructure solutions

You will maintain existing systems through Linux Based Tools and manage the COTS stack on the system to support program needs

You will assist with integration of the selected platform provisioning tool such as VMWare

You will ensure that the COTS stack and versioning is consistent across the platform; and will work with the team to make updates as necessary

You will travel to customer sites to assist in system updates and deliveries when necessary

Typically requires BS / BA Degree in Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Technology or Physics and 5 years of related work experience

Current TS / SCI CI Poly

Experience with Agile Development Methodologies (E.g. scrum SAFe)

Experience with VMware

Experience with programming languages (E.g. Python Java Ruby Bash C C# Go)

Pluses

Experience with Linux LDAP for creating Linux based accounts and managing roles and permissions Experience with Linux Bash scripting for task automation and management of existing scripts

Experience with modernization technologies such as Chef Ansible Kubernetes Docker Rancher etc Experience with System Hardening Experience with AWS technologies Experience with Cisco IOS / Fiber Switch Familiarity Experience with Cisco Server Hardware / and Firewall implementation Current

Security Plus certification or obtain within 90 days of start
