Location : Auburn, NY 13021 (Finger Lakes region)

Facility : Community Hospital, 90 beds

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 8 / 2025 – End : 3 / 7 / 2026)

Shifts : 4x10 hour days (7 : 00 AM – 5 : 30 PM) or 3x12 hour days; 36 or 40 guaranteed hours / week

On-Call : Required

Unit Focus : Orthopedic surgery cases; Equipment : Olympus and Stryker; Charting : Paragon

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $2330-$2500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active New York State RN license

Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

NIHSS certification required at time of submission

6 CEUs in stroke-related topics prior to start

Orthopedic OR experience required

Travel nursing experience preferred

COVID-19 vaccine not required (proof or declination accepted); Flu vaccine or declination required

At least 1 year of nursing experience required

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the operating room, specializing in orthopedic procedures

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using Paragon charting system

Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Operate Olympus and Stryker surgical equipment proficiently

Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards

Educate and support patients and families throughout the surgical process
