Vessel Welder
Pay: $23+/hr DOE | Hours: Days, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM | Location: Catoosa, OK
Test Requirement:
Candidates must be able to pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Vessel Welder to join our team in Catoosa, OK. This position requires expertise in setting up and operating advanced welding equipment to produce high-quality work that meets specifications and quality assurance standards. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing defective products, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. A successful candidate is a self-motivated professional with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain high production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Plan work procedures and inspect finished products for quality and completeness.
- Operate advanced welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and adjust welding machines to ensure optimal production and quality.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and weld symbols.
- Perform basic data entry for maintenance breakdown calls.
- Detect and correct defects while maintaining compliance with quality policies and procedures.
- Handle small parts and work in confined spaces, such as vessels.
- Maintain production averages at or above expected standards.
- Communicate effectively with all departments.
Requirements:
- Must pass a 3G MIG/Flux Core weld test.
- Firm understanding of volts, amps, and welding adjustments.
- Basic math and data entry skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and operate necessary tools.
- Physical ability to crawl in and out of vessels.
- Minimum of six months of material handling experience or equivalent knowledge.
