\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in a high-volume birthing environment, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple labor assignments effectively. This unit conducts over 400-600 births per month, requiring a skilled professional to provide exceptional care for obstetrical patients.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater for all intrapartum and for high-risk antepartum and postpartum care.
  • \n

  • Conduct labor management and circulate for C-sections.
  • \n

  • Administer pain management and perform sterile vaginal exams as required.
  • \n

  • Utilize Epic for charting and maintain effective communication through SBAR.
  • \n

  • Oversee triage of obstetrical patients and handle emergency situations as they arise.
  • \n

  • Assist with high-risk antepartum procedures and routine outpatient procedures.
  • \n

  • Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions for holistic patient care.
  • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; 3 years preferred.
  • \n

  • Experience with facilities managing >
  • 300 births per month is required.

    \n

  • Must possess certifications in BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (AWHONN Advanced preferred).
  • \n

  • Ability to perform patient care during high-stress and fast-paced situations.
  • \n

  • Strong skills in labor management and immediate newborn care.
