Job descriptionStart Date : October 6, 2025 End Date : June 30, 2026 (potential to extend) Patient Demographics : Adults only Patient Volume / Census : Varies Admissions : Yes average 1 admission per on-call shift Rounding : Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : 100% Cardiology No. of Beds in Department : 458 (hospital wide) Trauma Level : Level II EMR System : Epic and Cerner Office Equipment Available : Standard cardiology diagnostic systems (5 different systems for test reading) Specialty Backup Available : APP / Mid-Level support available 8a 5p Support Staff Available : APPs and hospital team staff Reason for Coverage : Candidate on leave Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (including emergency privileges) Credentialing Timeline : 60 days Additional Compliance : Active licenses required (no pending applications) Orientation : Covered at standard hourly rate Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered Travel Notes : Airfare : Economy seating, 1 checked bag Lodging : $175 / night cap, preferred hotel list provided Mileage : IRS mileage rates Rental Car : $75 / day cap for midsize (Apr Nov), $100 / day cap for 4WD SUV (Dec Mar) Cardiology diagnostic test reading Hospital consultations Clinic patient evaluations Licenses : Active Pennsylvania medical license required (no pending applications) Board : Board Certified in Cardiology DEA : Active DEA Certification required Certifications : ACLS required Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Ability to work both inpatient and outpatient, participate in call rotation, and manage cardiology patient load effectively Perform hospital consultations and inpatient rounding Read cardiology diagnostic tests across multiple systems Provide outpatient clinic coverage as assigned Participate in call coverage with 30-minute response time Evaluate and treat cardiology patients, including admissions during call shifts Document patient encounters accurately in Epic and Cerner Collaborate with APP support and hospital staff for coordinated patient care
