ISG - Proposal Engineer Opportunity near Salem, OH

An Ohio based Capital Equipment company who specialize in Large Scale Design, Build, and Installation Projects within the Steel Production Industry, is seeking a Proposal Engineer to Create Proposals and Cost large scale projects within their Heat Treat Division.

The Proposal Engineer must have solid Proposal and Costing Experience with Machine Builds within the steel industry. Experience with Gas Combustion, steel mill furnaces, incinerators, industrial ovens, etc. are preferred.

The Proposal Engineer pay rates are anticipated to be salaried based on each candidates experience and education. All well qualified candidates will be considered regardless of pay rate. We offer excellent benefits including very good Bonuses, Medical, Dental, 401k and more!

Candidates will possess most (if not all) of the following :

• 5-10 years of recent / relevant Proposal and Costing experience with Furnaces, Ovens, or Burner equipment.
• Must have proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Teams, SAP, etc.
• A BS in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent combinations of an Associate degree / experience / etc. will be considered.
• Combustion specialist- must have solid knowledge of gas burners for metal processing or closely related fields
• Must experienced in Technical Proposals, Schedules, Sizing Systems, Components, Material Lists.
• Must be comfortable in a Customer facing role.
• Must be able to travel 25% overnight including possible international and domestic projects.
• Must be able to complete standard pre-hire checks including background, drug screen, references, etc.
• Must be able to work in the US- US Citizens / Canadian Citizens / US Green Card holders welcome.
