Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented staff accountant to join our team in the northern twin cities area (Minnesota). This is a contract position where you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and supporting the finance team with reconciliations, reporting, and related tasks. The position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the refinement of accounting processes.

Responsibilities :

• Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations, with a particular focus on cash transactions.
• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with audit-related documentation and activities to ensure compliance.
• Match and verify bank transactions against internal records, promptly resolving discrepancies.
• Contribute to the improvement of reporting processes and the consolidation of financial data.
• Support efforts to automate reconciliation and cash handling workflows.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across all accounting operations.
• Collaborate with team members to refine existing procedures and implement best practices.
