A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity : RN - ED ER Job Details : Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM Full-time position with blocked schedule (not guaranteed) Every other weekend requirement Float requirement to all ED locations Provide routine and complex emergency department nursing care Practice independently while demonstrating awareness of all relevant clinical aspects Utilize nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols Monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and caregivers Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA only) Texas RN license or compact license required Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred One year of related nursing specialty experience preferred Must complete New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial on-boarding Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation Facility : This healthcare system is a comprehensive medical organization that provides emergency and acute care services to the community.
