About The Position

Job Title : Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Profession : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics

Specialty : Polysomnographer / Sleep Tech

Duration : 17 weeks

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years' experience required

License : Valid State License required

Certifications : BLS, RPSGT, RRT / SD

Must-Have :

• Previous polysomnography / sleep studies experience, including adult and pediatric testing.
• Experience with various sleep disorders, including complex sleep apnea and hypopnea.
• Familiarity with sleep scoring and respiratory events.
• Experience with sleep equipment and monitoring, including ECG and EEG.
• Proficiency in mask fitting and titration techniques.

Description :

Float required between facilities.

Patient volume / load is 2-3 rooms.

Patient age groups include pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Experience with adult Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT) and Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) required.

Experience with pediatric MWT and MSLT is necessary.

Familiarity with periodic limb movement and arousal assessment is essential.

Knowledge of respiratory inductance plethysmography and end-tidal CO2 monitoring is preferred.

Familiarity with Natus Sleep Works is a plus.

Candidates must have an understanding of cardiac abnormalities and oxygen administration.

Must be able to float to other units and facilities.

Travelers are accepted, but local candidates living within a specified radius are not considered.

Required documents include references from the last 24 months.

Compliance with COVID-19 and flu vaccine requirements is necessary, with exemptions considered for medical or religious reasons.

All travel staff must clear background checks and meet other compliance standards before beginning the role.
