ANSER is seeking an Action Officer to support the Global Deployment Center (GDC) with comprehensive deployment coordination and operational support. In this role you will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of deployment processes while maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Provide support for the NRO Global Deployment Center in support of NRO personnel traveling on official government business.
- Review data entries in the Deployment Module and conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Engage with customers to complete QA reviews and resolve data discrepancies efficiently.
- Manage and execute Deployment Advisor activities within established timelines, ensuring workflow requirements are met from submission to completion.
- Act as the NRO's primary resource for all deployment-related matters, including short-notice and emergency foreign travel temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
- Conduct pre-TDY coordination briefings, maintain required documentation, and verify that travelers complete all necessary training.
- Create and disseminate daily personnel deployment reports to NRO senior leaders, ensuring data integrity.
- Manage and track action items, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and facilitate user requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule deployment-related trainings (e.g., Deployment Qualification Course, Weapons, and Commercial Issuance Facility) with service providers.
- Apply the DoD Foreign Clearance Guide and other applicable policies to ensure compliance with NRO, DoD, and Intelligence Community (IC) travel regulations.
- Review and process all foreign deployment requests, obtain necessary country and theater approvals, and verify country-specific requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of deployment documentation, training certificates, and travel orders.
- Provide customer support by responding to inquiries, monitoring deployment communication channels, and maintaining relevant databases.
- Disseminate policy updates and legislative changes to appropriate NRO personnel.
- Generate and present metrics and periodic reports on action progress, highlighting late, pending, and completed tasks.
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma with 10 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.Active TS / SCI clearance with polygraph required.Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following : federal acquisitions, Department of Defense (DoD), Intelligence Community (IC), or national security policy.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.Proven ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment while maintaining flexibility and responsiveness.Strong relationship-building skills that foster cooperation and clear communication.Demonstrated analytical ability to assess situations and make sound, well-informed decisions.Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), if you have a disability and would like to request an accommodation in order to apply for a position with ANSER, please call 703-416-2000 or e-mail Recruiting@anser.org.
