About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer

Hours per Shift : 8 (08 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 3 years

License : Must have required licensure in hand prior to start

Certifications : BLS, RCDS or RCS

Must-Have : Must be willing to work 4 of the 8 identified holidays including Halloween, Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Description :

Monday through Friday schedule from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM.

Rotating every other week with Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and one weekend day.

Up to 5 days of call per month.

Caseload is approximately 7-9 patients per day, with each exam estimated to take 1 hour.

First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

Candidates must be willing to comply with the 70-mile radius rule for local applicants.

Pending state license accepted, but must have required licensure before starting.

All requests for time off must be submitted with the application.

Additional requests for time off after signing will be at the manager's discretion.

This facility is an academic level 1 trauma / stroke / transplant hospital with high-acuity patients.

There are 5 full-time sonographers and 3 PRN sonographers.

Chemical and physical stress exams are preferred.

Bedside exams are commonplace.

The job requires proficiency in conducting both dobutamine and exercise stress echoes.

A RDCS or RCS credential is mandatory.

The position involves performing procedures on patients in ICU and emergency department settings.

Preferred skills include vascular ultrasound capabilities, with familiarity in carotid and arterial mappings, Doppler studies, and peripheral vascular assessments.
