PEDIATRIC NURSE

REPORTS TO : Director of Nursing

JOB SUMMARY :

Professional member of home health team who provides skilled nursing visits in patients home under the direction of plan of treatment established with physician and input from patient / care giver.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assessing a childs needs and providing initial care
• Identifying changes in pediatrics signs and symptoms and intervening in emergency situations
• Participating in pain management for pediatric patients
• Record patients medical history, symptoms, and vital signs
• Advises patients and their parents on medication instructions and at-home care.
• Provides high-quality pediatric patient care and is careful and attentive.
• Dealing with the anxieties and demands of parents, and helping families to deal with their child's illness or injury.
• Remaining up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations, drug therapies, equipment, and treatment procedures
• Administer medication as prescribed by physician

QUALIFICATIONS :

2. Currently licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in home care for 2 years with one-year supervisory experience
