Starting Pay Range -

Therapist II (MHP, LICSWA, LMHCA) - $28.13-$32.11 / hr

Therapist III (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) - $32.99-$36.32 / hr

Summary :

The PACT Therapist / Mental Health Professional (MHP) is a core member of a multidisciplinary treatment team that provides intensive, integrated services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) who experience complex barriers to functioning independently in the community. This position delivers a range of clinical services-assessment, therapy, crisis intervention, and case management-both in office settings and in the community, including client homes, shelters, and hospitals. The goal is to support client recovery, community integration, and psychiatric stability by reducing hospitalization and incarceration and enhancing quality of life.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

Clinical & Therapeutic Services

  • Provide integrated mental health and substance use assessments using DSM-5 diagnostic clarity and service planning.
  • Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment for individuals with or without co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, including but not limited to CBT, DBT, MI, and harm reduction strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Deliver structured individual and group psychotherapy for recovery support, skill-building, relapse prevention, and psychiatric rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate in the development and revision of individualized treatment plans, crisis plans, and recovery goals.
  • Provide consultation and psychoeducation to other team members, supporting integrated interventions aligned with each client's readiness for change.
  • Collaborate with the PACT prescriber and team to coordinate medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and monitor progress toward wellness and recovery.
  • Provide ongoing crisis assessment, risk evaluation, and urgent intervention as needed, in collaboration with the team.
  • Provide psychoeducation on mental health and co-occurring disorders, medications, relapse cycles, wellness strategies, and coping skills.
  • Support harm reduction, housing stability, medication adherence, and community integration through are coordination and case management.
  • Promote client autonomy, dignity, and culturally responsive care in all interactions
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive delivery of mental health services in the community and across levels of care.
  • Assist with discharge planning and coordination of referrals to inpatient detox, outpatient treatment, housing, or residential supports as appropriate.
  • Advocate for clients across systems (legal, medical, housing, substance use treatment) to reduce barriers and support whole-person recovery.
  • Track treatment progress and respond to audit or fidelity requirements as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR
  • Contribute to fidelity and quality improvement efforts, including outcome monitoring and data-informed practice.
  • Assist with outreach and engagement efforts, including wellness checks, home visits, and collaborative visits with other staff to support continuity of care.
  • Support medication delivery efforts by collaborating with nursing staff to ensure safe, timely, and therapeutic dispensing of prescribed medications in the field.
  • Work alongside case managers and other specialists to support clients with housing applications, benefits enrollment, appointment scheduling, and other recovery goals.
  • Provide flexible support during team member absences or high-need situations, including co-facilitating groups, participating in transitions of care, and delivering bridge services.

Team-based Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in daily team meetings and treatment planning, sharing client and team relevant updates and goals.
  • Contribute to the strengths-based team culture including multidisciplinary collaboration, cross-training, and integrated care.
  • Document services promptly in the electronic health record (EHR) and additional programs, following fidelity and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrate competence in utilizing Microsoft Suite, cell phones, and other technology.
  • Promote client self-determination and recovery through strength & harm-reduction based engagement.
  • Participate in supervision and case consultation as indicated.
  • Additional Job Functions :

  • Supports agency mission, goals, and objectives while adhering to agency policies & procedures; HIPAA compliance; safety standards; infection control procedures; TMACT Fidelity standards; and applicable federal / state regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication and cooperative working relationships both within the agency and community at large, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Education, Licensing and Experience :

  • Master's degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work
  • Licensed in Washington State as an LMHCA, LMHC, LICSWA, LICSW, LMFTA, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience working with individuals with co-occurring SPMI and / or SUD preferred.
  • Training and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy for psychosis is preferred.
  • Experience working within ACT / PACT, intensive outpatient, or other fidelity-driven multidisciplinary models is preferred.
  • Other Requirements

  • Participation in on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and independently.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle required with willingness to transport clients as appropriate.
  • Must meet agency vehicle insurance requirements.
  • This position requires regular driving and mobility in community settings. Staff must be able to safely walk, stand, sit, bend, and carry supplies as needed to provide services in varied environments. Exposure to outdoor weather, stairs, and unsheltered locations will occur.

  • Walking or moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another. Staff may need to navigate various terrains and environments.
  • Standing or remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods, which may be required during patient interactions, assessments, or while performing other duties.
  • Sitting for extended periods while driving or performing administrative tasks. Staff may need to sit in different types of seating arrangements, including office chairs and vehicle seats.
  • Bending, flexing, or squatting the body downward and forward by bending the spine at the waist. Staff may need to bend to access supplies, assist clients, or perform other tasks.
  • Carrying Supplies and transporting items from one location to another, which may involve lifting and holding objects of varying weights. Staff may need to carry medical supplies, equipment, or personal items.
  • Outdoor Weather Exposure which involves working in various weather conditions such as rain, heat, or cold. Staff may need to perform duties outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Stairs Navigation including navigating staircases in different buildings or outdoor settings. Staff may need to climb stairs to reach clients or access different areas.
  • Unsheltered Locations including performing tasks in areas without shelter, such as parks or open fields. Staff may need to work in environments that lack protection from the elements.
  • Staff must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily and, if requested, reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified employees with disabilities to perform the essential functions of their job, absent undue hardship.
