ASSET ACCOUNTANT (Permanent)

Our client, an established and well-known service organization in WNY, is looking to hire an Asset Accountant to join their growing team.  This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical individual who thrives in collaborative environment.

Responsibilities :

• Perform tracking and analysis of project spending, supporting engineering team functions
• Oversee capital project expenditures to identify areas for improvement
• Reconcile and report on P&L activity, balance sheets, and fixed assets
• Regularly reconcile accounts to resolve any discrepancies and ensure accuracy in reports
• Participate in month end close processes alongside other accounting / finance team members
• Analyze financial data and report key information to upper management to aid in departmental decision making
• Take a proactive approach to completing special projects in a timely manner and ahead of deadlines
• Remain up to date on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance is maintained at all times
• Work well in a team environment, as well as independently
• Other duties as assigned / as necessary
