Become a School-Based Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant with Amergis Educational Staffing

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) to join our school-based teams across the High Desert region. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students' communication development in a collaborative educational environment.

As an SLPA with Amergis, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to implement therapy plans, assist with assessments, and help students build essential speech and language skills that support their academic and social success.

The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant assists the SpeechLanguage Pathologist in providing speech and language services. The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will have clinical, educational, documentation, and treatment related activities while working within the scope of responsibilities / plan of care assigned by the Speech Language Pathologist and / or physician.

Minimum Requirements :

• Must be a graduate of a SLPA program with an associate's degree, or have a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program
• Successful completion of a minimum of 100 hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent as required by state and / or contract
• Current certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant in the State of Practice
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• One (1) year of prior professional Speech-Language Pathology Assistant experience preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
