About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Platform Cybersecurity Engineer to support advanced Cyber and C5ISR (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance) initiatives for U.S. Ground Combat Platforms.
This position plays a critical leadership role in shaping cyber architecture, ensuring compliance, and integrating cross-functional engineering efforts within next-generation defense systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Cyber integration efforts across complex vehicle systems to ensure a secure, compliant, and balanced design.
- Develop and manage system-level requirements, architectures, and interface allocations (SWaP-CRaM).
- Drive cyber-physical design best practices, tools, and training across engineering teams to strengthen cyber culture enterprise-wide.
- Oversee trade studies and structured design decisions balancing performance, reliability, and cost.
- Support verification, validation, and field test execution, including root cause and corrective action analysis.
- Coordinate with Design IPTs for threat analysis, interface development, and requirements compliance.
- Evaluate emerging Cyber and C5ISR technologies for integration into defense platforms.
- Author and review technical documentation, design artifacts, and contract deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor cross-functional teams and lead technical peer reviews.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (advanced degrees or cyber certifications strongly preferred).10+ years of relevant engineering experience in Cyber, Systems, or Embedded domains.Strong background in embedded system cybersecurity and defense-related projects.Proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler and SysML or equivalent modeling tools.Experience with Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) and Cyber Tabletop Exercises (CTTX) .Deep understanding of NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 standards and compliance documentation (SSP, POA&M, etc.).Demonstrated success leading cross-functional engineering teams on technical development projects.Familiarity with cyber-physical systems, line-replaceable units (LRUs), and electronic hardware troubleshooting.Experience with software, systems engineering, or computer science principles in a defense or automotive context.Active or interim U.S. Security Clearance required (or ability to obtain).Ability to travel up to 15% (domestic / international) and work around military vehicles (must pass ASR test).Why Join Us
