Duties Include
Perform the day-to-day activities of the laundry department to assure that an adequate supply of laundry/linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents; Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services; Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments; Assure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained while performing laundry duties; Report all hazardous conditions and equipment to supervisor; Keep work areas free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, and supplies; Follow established fire safety policies and procedures; Coordinate isolation procedures with nursing departments.
