Job Summary : While assisting the Intake District Manager with the carrying out the vision of the agency, this position is responsible for receiving / processing intakes referrals for all four counties within the San Andreas Regional Center catchment area. This is an essential position, which supports the entire Intake Unit in providing qualitative and professional services to applicants, consumers, their families, and the community.

Requirements :
Education / Experience : A Bachelor’s Degree in social work, rehabilitation counseling or a related field from an accredited college. A minimum of five years of service coordination experience, or a minimum of 2 years of Intake Unit service coordination experience.
Special Skills and Knowledge : Knowledge of the agency; knowledge of the laws, rules and regulations governing the operation of the agency; knowledge of the principles, objectives and techniques of social work, individual and group behavior, human growth, development of family relationships; medical-psychosocial, socioeconomic factors affecting individuals and families. Knowledge of computer skills, strong / effective written and verbal communication with the ability to handle adverse conversations that may arise.
Other : Use of an automobile, possession of a valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance for the minimum amount prescribed by law or the ability to provide independent transportation.
