Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time special education teaching opportunity is available for an experienced educator with a background in Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD) at the elementary school level. This contract position runs through the next school year, starting in late August, and is ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in an elementary educational setting.

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with learning and behavior disorders.
  • Manage and support an elementary-level caseload, addressing individual educational needs.
  • Implement behavior interventions aligned with IEP goals.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to foster student success.
  • Monitor student progress, document outes, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications :

  • Valid teaching certification with specialization in special education.
  • Experience working with students diagnosed with Learning and Behavior Disorders (LBD).
  • Strong classroom management skills, particularly with high behavioral needs.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Excellent munication and collaboration skills.
  • Location : London, Kentucky

    Schedule : Full-time, 37.5 to 40 hours per week

    Start Date : August 25 (aligned with student-first-day)

    Contract Duration : Next School Year (NSY)

    Please note that this role currently does not include vocational responsibilities due to the behavioral needs of the caseload.
