Job descriptionLocated in an acute care hospital operating room with 74 total staffed beds Assignment length is 13 weeks with 4x10 hour day shifts from 6 : 30 to 17 : 00 Weekends are required every 4th weekend Patient ratio is 1 : 1 with a daily surgical census of approximately 20 cases Areas of practice include ambulatory, general, pediatric, trauma, and specialty OR cases Use of advanced equipment including Da Vinci Xi robotic system, cell saver, electrosurgical units, and Steris Epic charting system is used Floating within scope may be required between units or departments No on-call requirements Responsibilities include circulating and may include scrubbing for a wide range of complex procedures and specialties Must be able to provide coverage for holiday shifts and step into charge RN assignments as needed RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days First-time travelers are welcome Naval blue scrubs are required Free parking is available Candidates must be prepared to participate in pre-employment and annual training modules A negative drug screen is required for assignment; reapplication is not allowed for 6 months after a positive or diluted result Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in the OR with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year Current certification in ABLS required Preferred certifications : CNOR, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of surgical procedures including gynecology, plastics, trauma, podiatry, orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, robotics, urology, ENT, and bariatrics Experience starting peripheral IVs, blood product administration, cardiac and conscious sedation monitoring, and infection control is required Ability to float between departments as needed Two recent professional references required (one from a supervisor or higher, one from a charge RN), both from the past year Applicants must live at least 75 miles from the facility; locals not accepted No travel partners accepted Pending licenses are not accepted High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
