American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a MO or compact license and recent specialty experience for a day shift position.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Located in an acute care hospital operating room with 74 total staffed bedsAssignment length is 13 weeks with 4x10 hour day shifts from 6 : 30 to 17 : 00Weekends are required every 4th weekendPatient ratio is 1 : 1 with a daily surgical census of approximately 20 casesAreas of practice include ambulatory, general, pediatric, trauma, and specialty OR casesUse of advanced equipment including Da Vinci Xi robotic system, cell saver, electrosurgical units, and SterisEpic charting system is usedFloating within scope may be required between units or departmentsNo on-call requirementsResponsibilities include circulating and may include scrubbing for a wide range of complex procedures and specialtiesMust be able to provide coverage for holiday shifts and step into charge RN assignments as neededRTO is limited to a maximum of 7 daysFirst-time travelers are welcomeNaval blue scrubs are requiredFree parking is availableCandidates must be prepared to participate in pre-employment and annual training modulesA negative drug screen is required for assignment; reapplication is not allowed for 6 months after a positive or diluted result\n \n Requirements\n
Active MO or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent specialty experience in the OR with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past yearCurrent certification in ABLS requiredPreferred certifications : CNOR, PALS, ACLS, NIHSSDemonstrated proficiency with a variety of surgical procedures including gynecology, plastics, trauma, podiatry, orthopedics, general surgery, endoscopy, robotics, urology, ENT, and bariatricsExperience starting peripheral IVs, blood product administration, cardiac and conscious sedation monitoring, and infection control is requiredAbility to float between departments as neededTwo recent professional references required (one from a supervisor or higher, one from a charge RN), both from the past yearApplicants must live at least 75 miles from the facility; locals not acceptedNo travel partners acceptedPending licenses are not accepted\n Benefits\n
