Join The Doe Fund on our mission to break the cycles of homelessness, addiction, and criminal recidivism by providing holistic services, housing, and work opportunities to the underserved populations, including the formerly homeless and incarcerated, disconnected youth, veterans, and people living with AIDS. Our flagship transitional work program Ready, Willing & Able integrates paid work, occupational training, and holistic supportive services to facilitate an individual’s return to mainstream society.

We are seeking a Case Manager / Mental Health Counselor for The Doe Fund's newest permanent supportive housing program for homeless men and women living with HIV / AIDS. The program is designed to provide long-term residential care and twenty-four-hour support services in a community environment that maximizes residents' independence while ensuring their physical and emotional security and well-being. Half of the residents will be referred by the New York City HIV / AIDS Services Administration (HASA) and the other half will be apartments for affordable to low-income households.

The Case Manager / Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing supportive case management services to the HASA-funded residents. The successful candidate will have strong clinical and communication skills along with an understanding of working with the HIV / AIDS population.

The Ideal Candidate :

• You have a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, a license in Clinical Social Work and LMSW or LMHC required.
• You have at least one year of experience working with people who are homeless, living with HIV / AIDS, have substance abuse histories, or suffer from mental illness
• You have at least 5 years of experience in the mental health field
• You have knowledge of benefits in the New York City Metro area, HIV / AIDS, psychiatric diagnoses, substance abuse, and mental health issues
• You have solid computer skills – internet, Microsoft Office, and charting database
• You have great organizational, writing, and communication skills
