Local company is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy bookkeeper / secretary with excellent communication skills to support daily interactions with company president, clients and contractors. Professional demeanor, clear and concise reporting, and experience in both AR and AP related issues are key to ensure smooth financial operations. Proficiency with AppFolio and / or QuickBooks is a mus t.
As a bookkeeper in this role, you will be managing our financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Your key responsibilities include :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting functions
- Professional day-to-day interactions with clients (AR) and contractors (AP)
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of weekly, monthly, year-end, and ad hoc financial reporting
- Manage client notification and collections of past due accounts receivable
- Must ensure timely distribution of year-end W2s and 1099s
- Properly process ACH transactions
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement of the accounting function
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
- Extreme respect for the confidential nature of the role and information
- Provide clerical, HR and Payroll assistance as needed
- Other clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred5 – 10 years of bookkeeping experience; 3 – 5 years secretarial experienceMust have strong proficiency in AppFolio and / or QuickBooks and Microsoft OfficeAbility to meet deadlines and extreme attention to detailsProperty Management / Real Estate Experience a plusProficiency with account software and Microsoft Office SuiteBenefits & Perks Summary :
