Position Summary
The Structural Steel Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve safe, timely and profitable completion of each project. This position must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as strong communication and client service skills.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
All responsibilities expected of the Superintendent 2Implementation of Operation Zero and all Manhattan safety policiesParticipates and executes roles to help create an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring of othersDirect day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor forceReview and approve Trade Contractor Pay Applications and material invoices with Project ManagerDevelop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project ManagerManage quality programCoordinate site testing and inspection reportsMonitor costs, including labor time and materialManage self-perform features of workManage the CPM schedule and look ahead schedulesDevelopment / coordinate / execute Safety, Hazcom, SWPPP, QA / QC plan, etc.Attend and lead portions of project meetings, including but not limited to preconstruction, preinstallation, subcontractor, owner and safety in coordination with the Project ManagerCreate daily reports and report quantitiesAssist with Preconstruction / Estimating phase of projectMobilizes the site and set up utilitiesAssures necessary permits are secured and inspections occurReviews and verifies RFIsReviews and approves submittals for processingResponsible for conducting themselves in accordance with our Guiding Principles and exhibiting attributes matching the Way We Work.Other duties as assignedJob Skills & Abilities Guidelines

Bachelor's Degree - Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent. May substitute required education degree with related experience on a one-to-one basis10 years of industry experienceHas led at least 1-3 projects or run several complex medium-sized projects to be determined by regional operationsMust have structural steel experienceStadium project experience (preferred)Working Conditions and Physical Efforts
You must be adaptable to all types of weather conditions and traverse and inspect all areas of a construction job site, including walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.Ability to physically stand, bend, sit for long periods, and squat throughout the day.Ability to repeat the same movements.Ability to communicate effectively to participate fully in meetings, video conferences, and phone calls.Ability to compose, send, and reply to emails and written correspondence.Must be able to lift, pull, or move up to 50 pounds at a time.Travel may be required occasionally, primarily in the metropolitan area but sometimes domestically (must have a valid Driver's License).Exposure to characteristic construction site hazards.About Manhattan
