Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Registration Department in the role of Patient Access Representative III. This position is a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week). This position is responsible for daily communication with staff regarding schedule changes, open shifts, and coverage needs to ensure that everyone is informed and accountable.
POSITION SUMMARY
The role operates under the direct supervision of the Manager of Patient Access and Financial Services. Key responsibilities include serving as the point person for staffing schedules for the registration and communications department. This position is responsible for daily communication with staff regarding schedule changes, open shifts, and coverage needs to ensure that everyone is informed and accountable. Patient Access Representative III (PAR III) will respond to unexpected absences, such as sick calls, by quickly identifying and coordinating substitute staff, often on short notice. Additionally, this role is crucial for setting up training schedules and assisting with training for new hires. This position will play a key role in departmental meetings by scheduling them, preparing agendas, and taking meeting minutes. The position will assist the manager in managing work queues that result in registration errors and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The PAR III must be fully proficient in all duties related to Communications and Patient Access Representative I and II positions. Furthermore, this role serves as the administrator for all systems in Communications as well as function as an EPIC Super User for the department.
