Responsibilities Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of a hospital setting 16-bed unit caring for patients with sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, overdose, multi-organ failure, pre-VAD workups, post-cardiac arrest, targeted temperature management, respiratory failure, shock, alcohol withdrawal, and more Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1 : 2, may be 1 : 1 based on acuity Specialized procedures and equipment include CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella 4x12 hour night shifts (1900-0730) Every other weekend required Must be available for holiday coverage Floating required as needed EPIC EMR experience is required Provide advanced nursing care for critically ill cardiovascular patients Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team Pre-assignment modules must be completed before start Return staff must have a 1-year separation before being eligible Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the last two years All scheduling requests, including time off, must be declared in advance Holiday and weekend coverage is mandatory for this role Requirements Active NY RN license in hand required Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiovascular ICU experience Current BLS and ACLS certifications required EPIC charting experience required Must live more than 75 miles from the facility First time travelers will be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628414.
