Cosmetic Medical Assistant
North Atlanta Dermatology is seeking a full-time Cosmetic Medical Assistant for our Duluth and Suwanee locations. This role supports both cosmetic treatment services and general dermatology, including assisting with procedures, educating patients on skincare and cosmetic treatments, and promoting product and cosmetic sales. Travel between our Duluth and Suwanee clinics is required.

Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM
Responsibilities
The Cosmetic Concierge / Medical Assistant supports our cosmetic provider by combining hands-on clinical duties with patient education, product knowledge, and concierge-level service. This role assists with general dermatology and cosmetic appointments, prepares patients for procedures, supports in-office treatments, and provides guidance on skincare regimens, products, and available aesthetic services.
Candidates must have prior cosmetic / aesthetic experience (cosmetic dermatology, medical spa, or plastic surgery setting preferred). The ideal candidate is patient-focused, personable, comfortable discussing cosmetic treatments, and able to provide a polished experience from start to finish.
Clinical & Medical Assistant Duties
- Room patients, obtain medical history, allergies, and intake details.
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms, set up trays, stock supplies, and maintain a clean workspace.
- Assist providers with cosmetic and general dermatology procedures (e.g., injections, lasers, microneedling, chemical peels, etc.).
- Take before-and-after photos and document treatment details in EMR.
- Handle specimen collection and labeling as needed.
- Review aftercare instructions with patients and ensure understanding.
- Assist with chart prep, callbacks, and general clinic support on non-procedure days.
Cosmetic Concierge & Patient Experience
Provide education on cosmetic procedures, treatment plans, expected results, downtime, and pricing.Guide patients through product recommendations based on skin concerns, provider plans, and available skincare lines.Support cosmetic consultations by helping patients understand the menu of services.Maintain a warm, polished, high-touch patient experience throughout the visit.Manage before / after photo library and ensure consistent imaging quality.Promote practice-wide cosmetic specials, events, and loyalty programs.Product & Retail Support
Stay knowledgeable about cosmetic products, skincare ingredients, and proper usage.Assist with inventory, restocking, and merchandising of retail skincare.Communicate with cosmetic reps regarding samples, education, and new products.Support monthly product counts and stock reconciliation.Administrative Support
Assist with scheduling cosmetic appointments and follow-up visits.Educate patients on financing options (CareCredit) and loyalty programs (e.g., Alle, Aspire).Support cosmetic events and occasional evening promotions.Qualifications
Required Skills / Abilities :
Previous cosmetic or aesthetic experience is required (cosmetic dermatology, medical spa, or plastic surgery).Strong organizational skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.High attention to detail.Proficiency with technology and electronic medical record systems.Licensure / Certifications / Education
Education and Experience :
Minimum of High School Diploma.Physical Requirements :
