About The Position

• 2 years of experience in MedSurg / Telemetry
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification

Description :

This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care.

Candidates must possess strong interpersonal communication skills.

Collaborative teamwork is essential.

Solid written and oral communication skills are required.

The ability to tolerate moderate to high stress levels is needed.

Experience in reading telemetry strips is necessary.

Duties include management of chest tubes, tracheostomies, and intravenous starts.

Candidates will manage PCA pumps and medication drips such as Amiodarone, Fentanyl PCA, and Heparin.

Patient care includes those with general medical diagnoses such as diabetes, gastrointestinal issues, respiratory conditions, renal complications, and wound care.

Patient ratios are typically 1 RN to 5-6 patients and 1 CNA to 9-10 patients.

Support staff includes CNAs, charge nurses, receptionists, and a dedicated rapid response team.

The facility utilizes electronic medical records, IV pumps, and automated medication dispensing systems.

Travelers may be required to float to other MedSurg units as needed.

Weekend rotations are every other weekend, with holiday expectations being 75% of holidays worked.

Scrub color is royal blue.

Unit culture emphasizes patient-centered care, reliability, and strong teamwork.

Candidates with travel experience are preferred.
