MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Vascular Technologist o join our team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center!

As a Vascular Tech, Assists Manager and Medical Director in coordinating daily activities of vascular laboratory, including delegating duties and assisting in evaluating the performance of more junior lab personnel. Provides training / orientation for new staff as required. Performs full range of duties of staff Non-Invasive Peripheral Vascular Laboratory Technician.

Primary Duties :

• Assists leadership in managing daily activities, training new staff, and evaluating team performance within the vascular lab.
• Coordinates and prioritizes patient testing schedules, ensuring patient stability for transport and timely response to emergencies.
• Performs a wide range of vascular diagnostic tests both in-lab and at various patient care sites, while collecting and managing patient data for clinical and research use.
• Calibrates, tests, and maintains lab equipment; oversees inventory and supply ordering to ensure smooth lab functionality.
• Provides preliminary test results, prepares documentation for patient records, supports research efforts, and manages timesheets in the absence of leadership.
