Summary :
As a skilled Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing both routine and advanced nursing care. Your independence in clinical settings, along with your ability to manage complex situations and patient needs, will be essential in achieving long-term patient care goals. You will also excel in delegating tasks and assignments to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.
Responsibilities :
- Embrace and demonstrate leadership competencies, whether in self-management or team leadership.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care through the nursing process : assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation tailored to your assigned patients.
- Address the diverse psychological, emotional, cultural, and social requirements of patients and their families, responding to their varying levels of needs.
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols while closely monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient histories, symptoms, treatments, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
- Assess the educational needs of patients and their families, providing necessary resources and addressing any concerns.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.Experience
A minimum of one year in a related nursing specialty is preferred.Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.Registered Nurse License in the state of employment or compact state.Position Requirements :

Newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of employment.New hires will undergo preceptorship with a trained staff member to validate initial onboarding and specific competencies.During orientation, newly licensed RNs may participate in residency programs, ensuring skills and competencies are achieved with preceptor support.Completion of annual competency verification is mandatory.Experience

Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.All Associates are required to adhere to the CHRISTUS Health Licensing and Certification Policies, completing required certifications in designated time frames.
Credential Grace Periods :
Associates with at least a year of acute care clinical experience in a similar specialty will be considered Experienced Associates.Associates lacking one year of full-time experience in the specialty will be labeled as Experienced Associates New to the Specialty.Grace Periods for Credentials :
