Patient Ratio : 1 : 6

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (6 : 30pm – 7 : 00am); floating and on-call required

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – New Mexico or compact state

Minimum 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience

Current ACLS and BLS certifications required

PALS certification preferred

Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travel nurses

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a 42-bed unit

Manage a patient ratio of 1 : 6, ensuring patient safety and comfort

Float to other hospital units and participate in on-call shifts as needed

Accurately document patient care and assessments in MedHost EMR

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Comply with all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
