About The Position

Title : Nurse Practitioner – Oncology | Fontana Medical Center | $145 / hr

Location : Fontana, CA

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM | 6-Month Contract

Compensation :

$145.00 / hour (All-inclusive)

$217.50 / hour overtime (Over 8 hrs / day; manager approval required)

About the Role :

Fontana Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Oncology / Hematology to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to our oncology patients. This is an opportunity to work alongside dedicated physicians while managing patient follow-ups and treatment plans.

Responsibilities :

Conduct follow-up appointments at 3, 6, and 12 months

Coordinate care with ancillary services via email and EMR

Order oncology-specific diagnostics and refill prescriptions

Monitor treatment progress and see patients prior to chemotherapy sessions

Provide care for both in-clinic and virtual patients

Serve as the sole APP in the department, collaborating closely with physicians

No bone marrow biopsies required

What to Expect :

Patient load : ~16–20 / day

Appointment length : 15 minutes with built-in documentation and catch-up time every 4 hours

EMR : EPIC (Health Connect – Kaiser Permanente’s customized EPIC)

Vaccination : Preferred; waivers considered

Job Requirements

• Current State NP license

Specialty experience in Oncology / Hematology

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Fully licensed at the time of application (no pending licenses)

Credentialing : ~12 weeks from application submission
