Director, Residential Sales

Radon is a naturally occurring gas that disperses rapidly outdoors but can become trapped indoors through cracks and holes in a structural foundation. The Residential Sales Director plays a critical role in training and developing residential operating teams with the goal of driving higher sales performance. This responsibility encompasses enhancing the sales quoting and conversion processes, delivering targeted training on prospecting new clients such as real estate brokers and home inspectors, and refining both in-home and phone-based sales presentations. Utilizing in-depth company knowledge, the Residential Sales Director fosters and maintains relationships to maximize revenue across designated markets. The individual will identify and cultivate residential business opportunities for the market operations team, while also supporting the expansion of commercial sales initiatives within assigned territories.
Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies within assigned markets to increase revenue in accordance with company goals and objectives.
- Maintain in-depth understanding of current market position of competing services and products.
- Provide training to residential operating teams on basic business development and presentations so they can efficiently support their local stakeholders in relevant areas.
- Increase market share by identifying business opportunities through industry research and attending related networking events such as local real estate, home inspector, homebuilder and other stakeholder meetings.
- Identify local builders, homeowner associations, real estate agents, home inspectors and other stakeholders to facilitate relationships within the local market.
- Plan and deliver presentations on company services and products at stakeholder offices, conferences, and trade events.
- Work with the market operations and national support teams to support the closing of new business opportunities.
- Track all business development activities in the company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly.
- Support the national support team in retaining key national clients.
- Prepare professional, complete, concise client and prospect engagement documentation and other documentation as required for executive-level presentations.
- Safeguard confidential business information and practices to ensure the company maintains its competitive position.
- Attend trade shows, training events, and participate in professional associations to stay up to date on changing market trends.
- Work in conjunction with management and market leaders to develop sales objectives and processes to achieve organization goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Success In This Role Is Measured By :
Achieving a minimum 10% growth in residential sales.Increasing the lead-to-quote ratio by at least 10%.Improving the quote-to-sale conversion rate by a minimum of 3 percentage points.Required Skills / Abilities
Ability to organically grow business by providing solutions to a new and existing client base.Ability to build customer relationships through consultative solutions providing services and promoting of customer confidence.Must have strong negotiation skills and prospecting skills.Must have excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior-level executives within the customer organizations.Excellent communication skills, especially persuasion, in conveying the benefits of a product or service to the potential consumer.Proficient with sales management software and CRM.Proven success rate at levels above applicable key performance indicators.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Physical Demands And Work Environment
This job requires long hours on your feet at trade shows, networking events, or client visits.Frequent travel by car or plane is common, which can mean lifting luggage and navigating airports.This job requires split time between a desk and on-site client meetings or events.This job also uses standard office equipment with time spent on computers and phones for emails, CRM updates, and virtual meetings.Occasionally lifting materials like promotional items, product samples, or presentation equipmentsometimes up to 50 pounds.Clear verbal communication is essential, whether in person, over the phone, or via video calls.Travel Required
Ability to travel up to 75%.Education And Experience
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.5+ years of sales and / or business development experience.This position offers competitive compensation salary at $125,000 annually plus potential for a 10% sales bonus. Compensation varies based on skill, experience, and location. This position is also eligible for competitive benefits and travel reimbursement.
