Job description

Job Summary Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. Maintains supply inventory in collection areas and phlebotomy trays. Assists lab staff with non-testing essential functions. COMPANY DESCRIPTION Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers. Essential Functions

Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

High School Graduate Required

Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program preferred

Previous hospital experience preferred

ASPT or ASCP certification preferred

1 month phlebotomy experience preferred.
