Responsibilities

You'll join Atlassian's research leadership community-skilled managers and practitioners who lead with openness, collaboration, and commitment to excellence in craft. Our team partners directly with executives and cross-functional leaders, ensuring research insights drive decisions that shape the experience of millions of users worldwide. As a senior manager, you'll define strategic investments, mentor and develop your team, collaborate across the business to amplify research impact, and help position Atlassian as an industry leader in research-driven innovation.

What You'll Do

• Set and Execute Research Strategy : Define and champion the research vision for your area, aligning with Atlassian's long-term goals and influencing executive leadership.
• Lead and Develop Teams : Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing, globally distributed team, fostering excellence and an inclusive culture.
• Drive Impact and Partnerships : Identify and prioritize high-impact research opportunities, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and deliver insights that guide company decisions.
• Scale and Innovate : Extend research influence across the business, champion best-in-class standards and innovative methodologies (including AI), and represent Atlassian externally as a thought leader.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable,

and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than

that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.

In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges

for new hires in each zone are :

Zone A : $218,700 - $285,525

Zone B : $197,100 - $257,325

Zone C : $181,800 - $237,350

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
