Warehouse Lead
Position Profile
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assigning and monitoring the work of warehouse personnel to ensure efficient daily operations. This role includes issuing work orders, overseeing inventory accuracy, reporting discrepancies, and assisting production with parts requests. The Warehouse Lead may also train new employees on warehouse functions and support employee development.
Knowledge & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in a warehouse leadership role or similar environment
- Strong knowledge of warehousing processes and cycle counting
- Familiarity with inventory systems and parts management
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team
- Ability to set priorities and accomplish departmental goals
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with basic computer applications
What You’ll Do
Lead and assign daily tasks for a team of up to five warehouse employeesResearch and report inventory discrepancies to the Cycle Count CoordinatorContribute to the creation and documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Distribute manufacturing orders and oversee order pickingAssist the manufacturing department with parts requestsMonitor inventory transactions and material replenishmentSupport team members with all warehouse functions as neededProvide input for employee reviews and performance goalsTransact all work order part issuancesPerform other duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or company leadershipPosition Dimensions
Manage inventory valued at approximately $13 millionOversee approximately 12,000 parts in inventorySupport daily picking levels of ~6,000 partsConduct daily cycle counts of 60–90 itemsManage daily inventory transfers of 55–75 itemsOversee re-stocking of 5–10 items per day
