Locum Tenens Opportunity : Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician Near Garfield, WA

We are actively seeking a skilled Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician for a locum tenens position near Garfield, WA. This role is ideal for an experienced PM&R physician looking to contribute to an inpatient setting with the potential for a long-term engagement. The position offers a structured Monday to Friday schedule, with no call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Position Overview :

  • Specialty : Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
  • Location : Near Garfield, WA
  • Start Date : ASAP

  • Coverage Type : Scheduled Clinical Hours Only

Key Responsibilities :

  • Clinical Care :
  • Provide inpatient rehabilitation care to patients in a specialized unit.

  • Manage a patient load of approximately 10 patients per shift.
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Schedule :
  • Monday to Friday, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM.

  • Initial full-time coverage required, with the expectation to transition to 2-3 weeks of coverage per month once a supplemental physician is onboarded.
  • Practice Setting :
  • Focused on inpatient rehabilitation with no outpatient responsibilities.

  • No call duties, providing a stable work-life balance.
  • EMR System :
  • Utilize the Epic EMR system for all patient documentation and management.

  • Certification and Licensing :
  • Must be board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

  • Fellowship training is preferred but not required.
  • Must hold an active license to practice in Washington or be eligible for licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
  • Practice Details :

  • Practice Setting : Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit
  • Support Staff :
  • Work within a collaborative team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation professionals.

  • Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a well-supported environment.
  • Holidays :
  • Coverage includes major holidays : New Years Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Support and Resources :

    Minimum Qualifications :

  • Experience :
  • At least one year of experience in an inpatient rehabilitation setting is preferred.

  • Strong clinical skills in managing complex rehabilitation cases.
  • Licensing :

  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficient in using the Epic EMR system for patient care and documentation.
