Account Executive

Location : Madison, WI; Dubuque, IA; Des Moines, IA

Compensation : $100,000 to $120,000 base + bonus + full benefits

About the Role

Join one of the top 25 insurance brokerages in the U.S., nationally recognized for its leadership in commercial property & casualty, employee benefits, and risk management. We're hiring a Construction Account Executive to serve as a trusted advisor and outsourced risk manager for key mid-market and large construction clients in the Midwest.

This is a high-impact, relationship-first role where your coverage expertise, strategic mindset, and service leadership will be valued and rewarded. You'll work closely with a team of producers, client managers, and marketers while owning the client experience from onboarding through renewal and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client contact for all service and strategic risk management needs

Lead pre-renewal strategy, identify coverage gaps, and deliver clear, data-backed recommendations

Manage the full renewal process including marketing submissions, carrier negotiations, and proposal delivery

Facilitate stewardship meetings and strategic client engagement throughout the policy lifecycle

Support producer and marketing teams with insight into client needs and market positioning

Mentor and support junior account staff, contributing to a high-performance team culture

What Makes You a Great Fit

Active Property & Casualty insurance license (multi-state preferred)

5+ years of experience in commercial lines account management or executive roles

Specialized knowledge of construction risk and insurance programs

Strong understanding of contractual risk transfer, certificates, and endorsements

Confident in client-facing presentations and professional communications

Proficient in Applied EPIC , Indio, and Microsoft Office Suite

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative
