The hotel will be directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center, immediately adjacent to Port Everglades cruise terminal and less than two miles from Fort Lauderdale Airport.

Job Description

Opening Fall 2025 , the Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel will also have over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.

To maintain the highest standards possible for the guest by insuring quick, efficient, and professional service to ensure satisfaction. To assist the Marketplace Manager in day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must be effective in handling problems in workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
• Responsible for assigned shift, assisting in overall management.
• Supervise and coordinate assigned shift.
• Assist manager in communicating new information and teaching new procedures to all marketplace associates.
• Check staff punctuality.
• Complete environmental checklist for dining room.
• Order daily supplies or communicate inventory needs to appropriate management.
• Follow up on established training steps.
• Handle guest comments and complaints.
• Ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate with guests and receive feedback.
• Observe, teach, and correct staff's service.
• Monitor each guest experience.
• Must be able work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
• To be thoroughly aquainted with all technical equipment to fully utilize its capabilities and extend efficient service to hotel guests.
• Assist with monthly inventory.
• Maintain a cash bank.
• Verifying guest room numbers for room charges.
• Interact with other departments to ensure guest needs are satisfied.
• Adhere to proper food handling procedures.
• Proper knowledge of equipment use and safety procedures.
• Knowledge and troubleshoot POS functions.
• Serve guests under all Omni standards.
