Associate Contracts Specialist

We are currently seeking an Associate Contracts Specialist to collaborate with our Corporate Contracts team in Orlando, FL. Duties include administering contracts from initiation through evaluation, award, and closeout; solving routine problems of limited scope and complexity following established policies and procedures; managing contractual baselines by maintaining awareness, compliance and tracking of contract modifications, due dates, deliverables, and entering agreements into the contractual repositories; maintaining contract filing system to ensure accurate tracking of all contract documents, modifications, and other agreements; contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in the section or group; and performing other duties as assigned. Required Education : Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Required Experience : (1) to three (3) years of experience in federal government / industry acquisition, finance, or contracts functions. Experience with a variety of contract types (e.g. CPFF, T&M, and FFP) is preferred. Proficiency using various software, applications, and programs including Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude to manage other database applications, as required. Positive, customer-service focus (internal and external) with the ability to actively listen, elicit information, comprehend issues / needs, inspire teamwork, and recommend solutions. Ability to multi-task, working on several projects simultaneously. Track record of building effective working relationships and communicating successfully. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively, follow-through on projects from conception to completion, and complete work accurately and timely. Ability to handle unscheduled extended work hours and non-standard workweeks. Demonstrated attention-to-detail, initiative / self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and excellent organizational skills. Flexible and willing to adjust to the needs and priorities of a growing business. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
