Business Intelligence Analyst I - UI / UX Developer
Overview
The Pima County Health Department is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst I to join the Public Health Informatics and Data Services Unit as a Public Health UI / UX Developer. This role focuses on creating meaningful and accessible ways to share public health data, helping to improve transparency and support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with teams across the department to design and implement data visualization solutions for internal stakeholders and the community, and you will build and maintain tools such as dashboards, hubs, and website pages while supporting platforms like SharePoint, Esri, and Qlik.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
- Develop and write business requirements for identified data analysis and reporting solutions.
- Create and maintain reports, data queries, scripts, workflows, and automated tasks using SQL and various database tools.
- Identify and analyze commonly used queries and reports and determine applicability of current solutions.
- Research reporting problems and assist in building models to analyze reporting needs.
- Develop, execute, and document user test plans; coordinate and perform quality control testing of new or updated software and processes; resolve issues based on test results.
- Verify that collected data meets required quality standards and maintain metadata quality through data dictionary updates as needed.
- Create data quality tickets and ensure timely resolutions.
- Assist in the development and presentation of end-user training materials and train / assist clients in using BI solutions.
- Support BI platforms and related tools to enable data-driven decision making and transparent health data communication.
Qualifications and Ideal Candidate

Pay Range : $59,675 - $83,553 annually. Hiring Range : $59,675 - $71,614 annually. The first review of applications will be on 10 / 03 / 2025. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity.
