Job Details :

Work in 5-bed Level II NICU caring for infants 34 weeks gestation and above

Patient ratios of 1 : 2-3 neonates

2 years of NICU experience required with travel experience preferred

Minimum 4-5 weekend shifts (Saturday / Sunday) per 6-week schedule period

Minimum 2 Friday shifts per 6-week schedule period

2 mandatory call shifts every 6-week schedule

Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed

Float to well newborn nursery / postpartum as required

Required certifications : BLS, NRP (STABLE preferred)

Skills include blood glucose monitoring, central line care, feeding support, isolation precautions, UAC / UVC care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome management

Work with standard NICU equipment including IV pumps, phototherapy equipment, incubators, and radiant warmers

Expected to assist with stabilization and transfer procedures including needle aspiration, chest tube placement, intubation, and resuscitation

Support well newborn assessments when no NICU census

Preferred candidates cross-trained to attend deliveries and provide 1 : 1 newborn recovery care

12 hours of orientation provided

Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract period

Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

The unit features modern equipment including neonatal echo capabilities and telehealth support for neonatologist consultation. The facility emphasizes comprehensive interdisciplinary support with IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services available 24 / 7.
