Radiation Oncologist Job Details Location : Muskegon, MI 49444 (Michigan healthcare jobs) Facility Type : Free-standing cancer center (hospital-based, Level II trauma center) Position Type : Locum tenens radiation oncology physician (travel contract) Start Date : September 29, 2025 End Date : December 29, 2025 Assignment Length : 13 weeks, with potential extension until permanent hire Schedule : Monday – Friday, 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 00 PM Weekly Hours : 40 Estimated Weekly Salary : $9,330 - $10,000 per week Call Coverage : 24-hour call, shared 1 : 2 with another radiation oncologist Clinical Support : 1 Nurse Practitioner in clinic; 2 radiation oncology physicians in practice Average Outpatient Volume : 10–15 adult oncology patients per day EMR Systems : Aria and Epic Radiation Oncologist Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology (required) Active Michigan State Medical License or IMLC / LOQ (required for Michigan radiation oncology jobs) BLS Certification (required) Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a radiation oncologist Full availability for assignment dates Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive radiation oncology care to adult patients in an outpatient setting Perform and supervise procedures : Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery, SBRT, and Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests and imaging for oncology patients Develop, prescribe, and manage individualized radiation treatment plans Collaborate with a multidisciplinary cancer care team, including another radiation oncologist and a nurse practitioner Participate in a 1 : 2 call schedule, providing 24-hour coverage as needed Document patient care using Aria and Epic EMR systems Why Choose Muskegon, MI?
