Job Description :

\nJoin the dedicated Respiratory Therapy team at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, where you will provide essential diagnostic and treatment services to both critical and non-critical patients across all age groups. Your expertise will support a wide range of cardiopulmonary patient care, utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve patient outcomes. This role offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work with neonatal and pediatric populations, emphasizing key skills and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities :

\n \n

  • Perform respiratory assessments, administer treatments, and manage ventilator support for diverse patient populations.\n
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.\n
  • Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust treatment as necessary.\n
  • Document clinical findings accurately in electronic medical records.\n
  • Maintain equipment, ensure safety protocols are followed, and uphold infection control standards.\n
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory treatments.\n

    Requirements & Qualifications :

    \n \n

  • Current registration by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) \n
  • Valid Oregon Respiratory Care License (underline and bold all certification / license requirements)\n
  • Healthcare Provider BLS certification (required)\n
  • Preferred : \n \n
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory care\n

  • Experience working with neonates and pediatric patients\n

    Additional Certifications (Required for Specialized Care) :

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) \n
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) \n
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) \n
