Senior Producer – Insurance Agency
Location : Glastonbury, CT | Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Overview
A well-established insurance organization is seeking a Senior Producer to drive new business growth for its agency, with a focus on medical professional liability and commercial insurance lines. Key Responsibilities
Core Sales Functions
Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business and retain existing clients.
Utilize a consultative approach to identify prospects, nurture client relationships, and leverage referrals.
Meet or exceed agency revenue goals while maintaining budget discipline.
Collaborate with insurance market partners—both direct and wholesale—to secure appropriate placement for new business.
Build strong internal and external relationships across the healthcare and commercial sectors.
Actively participate in relevant professional organizations to grow prospect pipelines.
Prepare regular progress reports on pipeline activity and monthly production.
Work closely with the Agency Account Manager to ensure smooth renewals and resolve service issues.
Maintain accurate customer data within the agency management system.
Travel within designated territories as needed.
Operational Support
Adhere to agency processes for maintaining prospect / client data.
Assist in premium collection as needed.
Participate in ongoing training on the agency’s systems.
Support company functions and events periodically.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven ability to generate new business and drive revenue.
Self-motivated with strong initiative and critical thinking.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and agency management platforms.
Highly organized with strong time management skills.
Comfortable working both independently and in team settings.
Professional and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent insurance experience).
8–10+ years of relevant sales and / or Commercial P&C experience.
Demonstrated B2B sales success, preferably in Commercial P&C.
Strong leadership and client engagement skills.
Active Property & Casualty license required.
Ability to travel up to 40%; reliable transportation required.
Work Schedule
Hybrid :
In-office (Glastonbury, CT) : Tuesday–Thursday
Remote : Monday and Friday (after 90-day probationary period)
