Computed Tomography Technologist (CT Tech)
Compensation : $31 to $45 depending on years of experience
Position Overview
The CT Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic CT imaging procedures under the supervision of a Radiologist. This role includes preparing and positioning patients, operating CT equipment, administering IV / oral contrast, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The technologist uses independent judgment, technical expertise, and compassion to deliver accurate diagnostic images that guide patient care.
Responsibilities
- Explain CT procedures clearly and compassionately to patients of all ages
- Position patients appropriately to capture precise diagnostic images
- Operate CT scanners and associated equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed
- Administer intravenous / oral contrast safely according to protocols
- Assist Radiologists with image-guided procedures, maintaining sterile technique
- Review patient history, consents, and labs to ensure safe imaging practices
- Accurately label and document images and pertinent clinical information
- Move patients safely on / off tables, stretchers, or wheelchairs as needed
- Provide support for CT services on a 24 / 7 coverage rotation as required
Requirements
Associate degree and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology programLicensed Radiographer in the State of WisconsinARRT registered in Radiography (required)ARRT registered in CT (preferred, or required within 1 year of hire)Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomyBasic computer proficiencyCurrent BLS / CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire)Compensation
