Job Summary
Caterpillar's Electric Power Division has an open opportunity for an Engineering Manager Advanced Power Systems & Controls. The Engineering Manager will plan, direct and lead engineering staff and activities to ensure projects, initiatives and processes comply with established policies / objectives. We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient leader for the development and execution of advanced power systems and controls within the Large Electric Power Solutions division. This role will be responsible for all engineering activities related to ECS (Energy Control Systems) utilizing both internal and partner resources, with an additional focus on ESS (Energy Storage Systems) development and integration. The successful candidate will manage R&D budgeting and serve as the primary engineering interface with the STLF on applicable projects. In addition, they will lead a diverse, global team of engineers and project managers to develop, validate, and support our products as they are deployed across the globe.

Managing the engineering staff and activities with an emphasis on organizational goals achievement, professional development and continuous improvement. Monitoring and continuously improving product and process performance, quality and cost-effectiveness for all engineering activities and deliverables. Providing leadership to create and maintain processes used to design, develop and manufacture components, systems, products, services, and technologies. Managing engineering product and manufacturing process or quality issues, from concept through end of life-cycle.

Top Candidates Will Also Have :
Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science curriculum. Previous supervisory experience is highly desired. Understanding of product development processes including NPI, NTI, CPI, BIQ, Aftermarket, Product Support, PPAP, APQP, etc. Demonstrated experience & knowledge of Caterpillar's Power & Energy business & applications. Business acumen including how NPI financial & product cost accounting methods work to make appropriate product / project decisions that yield good business results. Excellent Microsoft Office 365 skills. Experience with project management tools & techniques.
Additional Information :
This position is located in Mossville, IL, Alpharetta, GA, Griffin, GA, Lafayette, IN, or Dallas, TX. Travel up to 25% is required. Domestic relocation assistance is offered for this position. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

Summary Pay Range :
$156,000.00 - $234,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
